Paris OGAWAKEN originates from ancient OGAWAKEN. Ancient OGAWAKEN was
established in 1905 in Shimbashi, Tokyo.
At first, OGAWAKEN served simple European-style foods for lunch and dinner.
Then in mid 20th century, the former owner, who is a son of the founder, succeed ancient
OGAWAKEN and invented the Original RaisinWich. And then, lots of customers have loved
it as souvenirs or gifts of Tokyo Japan.
Paris OGAWAKEN was established in 1970s to take over recipes which the former owner
had invented, and has made high quality and delicious sweets along with his philosophy of
sweets.
His philosophy is;
We cannot make high quality and delicious sweets only by good skills.
What is the most important thing is to choose high quality ingredients, carefully .
So , we use only the highest ingredients for our products, even if these ingredients are expensive.
Nowadays, Paris OGAWAKEN is known as one of the most popular patisseries in Tokyo and lots of customers love our products including the Original RaisinWich
as souvenirs or gifts of Tokyo Japan. Of course, foreign tourists come to our shops and buy products as souvenirs or gifts of Tokyo Japan.
We believe “Small Is Beautiful”. Of course, we would like to increase sales, but customers’ incredible satisfaction is much more important than sales, we believe.
So we pursue taste, safety and freshness of sweets rather than scale expansion. If you read below our commitments, you probably understand our philosophy.
We have been looking for high quality raisins all over the world – US, Middle East and Japan. Nowadays, we use only California raisins which are categorized as a special grade in US.
As same as Raisins, we have been looking for high quality wheat all over the world. Nowadays, we use only US wheat which are categorized as a special grade in Japan.
We have been looking for fruits – strawberries, peaches,
marrons etc, around Japan. And we only use fruits in
season. Because fruits are delicious only in their season.
About butter, we use only ones which are made in
Hokkaido, Japan. A butter maker makes special butter
only for Paris OGAWAKEN.
About vanilla flavor, we use only it which is extracted from
vanilla beans from Madagascar, Africa – 100% pure
natural vanilla essence is much expensive, but we would
like to use it because of customers' satisfaction.
Our products are made only in own our factory in Tokyo. Lots of famous sweets makers contract out to other factories. However, we don’t.
Keeping food safety, we would like to check our products’ status by ourselves, everyday.
You can buy our products only in our shops – Shimbashi/Meguro shops. Lots of famous sweets makers ask major distributers to sell their products on a consignment basis. However, we don’t.
Keeping food safety, we would like to check distribution processes by ourselves, everyday.

Our products are made in Meguro factory, every day
morning. These products which are made every morning
are served to customers in the same day. So customers
can eat fresh sweets.
Only some kinds of cookies are made a couple days ago.
